I want to have a bid/auction site developed.

I have quite clear ideas of the design I want but am open to suggestions. I am also clear about the function of the page and how I want it to work.

Should I post one job request for the graphic design work of the web and another for the programming and setting up the site. Or would it be best to post a job for someone to do the lot?

If I post two, it may speed things up, as while the programmer starts with the code, the graphic designer can get on with the look of the pages, but would this option work out more expensive?

Thanks in advance for your response & help.

Hi Manuel,

I agree with you. I think it should be 2 jobs. Most of the freelancers now are focused in one or two things that they do really well, and a designer and programmer are certainly two very different fields.

Unless you wish to hire one outsourcing company that does it all, post a job for each field.

About costs, I would say that my experience has been best in working with freelancers - not only for costs, but also for quality of work. You have to manage more, but in the end you have better work product.

Best of luck.
