I think the 5 steps aren't just practiced in some corporations, but also in some universities. That's the best way to administer the whole entity. It also deals with cooperation and teamwork. If one doesn't understand everything about it and doesn't follow the rules, then the whole operation will  be damaged. The 5S program would really fit with business operations.
